Moving into a new era… goodbye Underdale
With more than 65% of our clients based in the northern suburbs, ARA is merging its Underdale and Salisbury offices into one northern location during the first half of October:

Our phone number for all enquiries will remain as 08 8354 2951. The Parabanks office will be open from Monday 12th October, and operate every weekday from 9AM-5PM.
The move is being planned in stages to ensure minimal disruption to services during this time:
Friday 2nd October – last date for appointments at the Underdale office
Monday 4th – 9th October – Underdale office moves to Parabanks office
Monday 12th October – Parabanks office open
Wednesday 14th October – last date for appointments at Brown Terrace (Salisbury) office
Monday 12th-16th October – Brown Terrace office moves to Parabanks office

To provide a holistic and accessible service across Adelaide, we are opening a part-time Western Outreach office to complement our part-time Southern Outreach office
Mid October (date TBC) – ARA Western Outreach office opens at CareWorks, 114 Henley Beach Road, Torrensville; every Tuesday 9AM-5PM and Friday 9AM- 5PM
Operating as normal – ARA Southern Outreach office, MarionLIFE Community Centre, 887 Marion Rd, Mitchell Park – every Wednesday 9AM-4.30PM

Our move reflects the gradual shift in the locations in which new arrivals are settling. The majority are settling in the northern suburbs around Salisbury, whilst smaller numbers are settling in the western and southern suburbs.

We will be very sad to farewell our Henley Beach Road office of more than 20 years. This building has witnessed so much of ARA’s rich history. If the walls could talk, they would tell you about the ARA family – the many people who first walked through those doors as clients and returned as community leaders, volunteers, staff, advisers, board members and donors.

Our sadness is tapered by the exciting opportunities that the move brings: increased access to services for northern clients; greater connection with other service providers in the area, finally having the majority of staff in the one location, and new collaborations with some of the dynamic local organisations and services operating out of Salisbury.

And we’re excited that our great friends at the African Women’s Federation will taking up residence at the Brown Terrace office in Salisbury from late October. It seems like Salisbury is the place to be!

Thank you to everyone who has visited us in the Underdale and Brown Terrace offices. We hope to see you in our Parabanks home in the future as we embark on this new chapter in our 45th year.
