Farah’s family fled war and terror, but life in Australia got better. She studied at university with a dream to become a medical laboratory scientist. Farah wanted to give back, help people and do some good in the world. but then her life came crumbling down.

The Australian Refugee Association, the University of Adelaide’s School of Public Health, the Burmese Chin community and the Syrian community have produced a series of safety videos, in language, about fire prevention and driving safety.

2021 Refugee Week: Unite with ARA!

The Australian Refugee Association is proud to present a series of Refugee Week events throughout June exploring unity and connection. With ARA's Conversation, we'll explore and question what it is to be unified, through the lens of Australia's greatest preoccupation: sport. Our New Land, New Hope online and banner exhibition and Author Talks celebrate the contributions of people from refugee and migrant backgrounds to their adopted homeland. And ARA's Youth Ambassadors will challenge the perceptions and myths about refugees in their first major workshop for the year.
