One of the highlights of ARA’s 2019 calendar has been the Health Expo, held at Salisbury in April. Designed to reach out to refugee and newly arrived communities with accessible information about healthcare services, the expo was a highly successful event with an estimated 400 attendees and 35 stallholders. Last weekend, in recognition of the Health Expo’s innovative approach to early intervention and health promotion, the Health Expo was named runner-up in the Adelaide PHN’s award for Outstanding Achievement in Health Promotion and Early Intervention.
