2021-22 Annual Report: Helping Refugees Through Holistic Innovation
Our new annual report has just been released and it’s a great way to show and celebrate the innovative breadth and depth of ARA’s work, day in, day out.
By working proactively with refugee communities to identify and respond to unmet needs, we continue to build a network of programs and services designed to support people at many different times and stages of their lives.

In 2021-22:
98.2% of clients reported a positive increase in areas such as employment, housing, education, health, and money management outcomes.
96% of clients reported a positive increase in skills, knowledge, and engagement.
We introduced nine new initiatives, including COVID-19 vaccination clinics and videos, the EngAGED and EnCOMPASS programs for older people, the Screening Saves Lives cancer prevention project, the Stronger Men, Stronger Families program, the Social and Communities Participation program, the BOOST Small Business program, the Multicultural Employment Pathways program and the Afghan Azizan migration assistance program.
Meanwhile, Communities for Change, Digital Literacy, and the Emergency Support Service continue to grow.
That is in addition to our long running bedrock programs like case management, Migration Services, Homework Clubs, Youth Ambassadors program, the ARANAP health program and the Settlement Action Network.
We would like to thank everyone who plays a part in ARA’s work: multicultural communities, funder organisations and government, volunteers, donors, staff and sister organisations.
Everyone’s contributions empower our clients to live a safe and prosperous life in their new country.
