The ARA Family Reunification Quiz Night was held on 16 November. Over 200 patrons made the evening a wonderful success with Georgina McGuiness, one of ARA’s ambassadors steering as the Quiz Master. Music and a dance performance by some of the ARA youth introduced the evening. As well, two short videos highlighting two success stories from the ARA Family Reunification program were shown.
During the evening a silent auction was held to aid with the raising of funds. Items on auction were of quality value which commanded competitive bidding with some definite happy winners.
Prizes for the winners of the quiz and of the raffle were substantial and well received.
Feedback and general responses and comments for the event were positive with enquiries already received asking when the next quiz night will be held.
From ARA’s perspective the night was a great success with approximately $6000 raised for the program. This money will indeed help some needy people reunite with their families.
ARA would like to thank everyone who took part in all the various roles to make the evening a success. You precious time from writing the questions, leading games, setting up tables and decorations, preparing coffee and cake, and many more ‘behind the scenes’ activities is very much appreciated. Also a big ‘Thank You’ to all who came along and participated and were part of the fun and fruitful evening.
